Because one of my favorite sights is a field of mares and their babies–the little ones running right along side their mothers, I’ve done several mare-and-colt paintings. This is the 3rd of three, and is influenced by the paleolithic painting called the Striped Mare of Lascaux, on the cave walls at Lascaux.
